We often minimize our feelings by distracting ourselves, analyzing and interpreting rather than feeling what we feel or searching out and judging others for the same feelings we don't like to feel. Here is a video on how to support yourself in feelings from your very young life that have no explaination but create a lot of troubling behavior in marriages, at work and as parents. We don't have to be clingy, judgmental or distant.
